Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) won 9-6 over Sarah Daniels (Delta, BC) in the Final Sturmay advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the New Holland Canadian Junior Womens Championship, held January 19 - 27, 2019 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
 
Sturmay finished 10-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Kira Brunton (Sudbury, NO) 10-3, then won 14-2 against Sadie Pinksen (Iqaluit, NU) and 8-6 against Daniels. Sturmay won 7-4 against Skylar Ackerman (Moose Jaw, SK), then won 8-2 against Thea Coburn (Dundas, ON) and 10-4 against Kaitlyn Jones (Halifax, NS). Sturmay won 9-8 against Laurie St-Georges (Laval, QC), then won 6-3 against Mackenzie Zacharias (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-6 against Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB). Sturmay won 9-4 against Sara England (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the New Holland Canadian Junior Womens Championship Championship title, Sturmay earned 27.482 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Sturmay did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sturmay ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
