Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG) finished 2-5 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hung lost 8-7 to Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN), then responded with a 9-7 win over Marta Pluta (Gilwice, POL). Hung went on to lose 9-2 against Jie Mei (Beijing, CHN). Hung lost 7-5 to Anne Shibuya (Sao Paolo, BRZ) where Hung responded with a 8-7 win over Bridget Becker (Naseby, NZL). Hung went on to lose 12-3 against Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN). Hung lost 10-4 to Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Hung earned 2.565 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Hung move up 10 spots after posting a net gain of 1.881 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 172nd overall with 11.628 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Hung ranks 170th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.944 points earned so far this season.
