To advance to the championship game, Friesen won 6-5 over Josh Maisey (Winnipeg Beach, MB) in the semifinals of the 2019 Teulon MJCT Mens Spiel in Teulon, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Friesen finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Liam Wachal (Winnipeg, MB) 7-6, then won 5-4 against Emerson Klimpke (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen went on to lose 8-1 against Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
