Dave Schmel (Warminster, PA) finished 1-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schmel lost 1-0 to P.N. Raju (San Francisco, CA), then responded with a 10-6 win over Allison Spoelhof (Midland, MI). Schmel went on to lose 10-5 against Daryl Fuchihara (Duluth, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
