Haitao Wang (Beijing, CHN) won 5-2 over Aileen Neilson (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the World Wheelchair Curling Championship, held March 3 - 10, 2019 in Stirling, Scotland. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Wang won 5-2 over Jinho Cha (Seoul, KOR) to advance to the championship game. of the 2019 World Wheelchair Curling Championship in Stirling, Scotland;
 
Wang finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang defeated Cha 5-2, then won 7-4 against Polina Rozkova (Riga, LAT) and 3-2 against Switzerland's Raymond Pfyffer. Wang went on to lose 7-6 against Viljar Villiste (Tallinn, EST). Wang lost 5-3 to Canada's Mark Ideson where Wang responded with a 7-3 win over Neilson. Wang won 9-5 against Steve Emt (Madison, USA), then won 4-3 against Andrey Smirnov (Moscow, RUS). Wang went on to lose 7-5 against Radoslav Duris (Bratislava, SVK). Wang responded with a 8-6 win over Germany's Christiane Putzich. Wang won 4-2 against Rune Lorentsen (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 30 of the event schedule, Wang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Wang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
