Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) lost 7-5 to Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN) in the Final of the USA Curling U18 Championships, held March 14 - 17, 2019 in Chaska, Minnesota. To advance to the championship game, Wendling won 8-3 over Ethan Hebert (Lowell, MA) in the semifinals
 
Wendling finished 5-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wendling defeated Max Kassner (Glenview, IL) 7-3, then won 9-5 against Nelson Rogers (Lafayette, CA) and 5-3 against Jonathan Gaasvig (Bemidji, MN). Wendling won 8-2 against Connal Murphy (Bismarck, ND), then won 12-5 against Daniel Casper (Briarcliff Manor, NY) in their final qualifying round match.
