Rebecka Thunman (Uppsala, SWE) lost 7-4 to Tova Sundberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Junior Championships, held December 6 - 9, 2018 in Ostersund, Sweden.

Thunman finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thunman defeated Smilia Lundqvist (Harnosand, SWE) 12-1, then won 6-5 against Sundberg and 7-5 against Nilla Hallstroem (Harnosand, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Junior Championships, Thunman take home 8.786 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Thunman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thunman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
