Stern won 6-3 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB). Stern went on to lose 5-4 against Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
Stern earned 36.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Masters.
