Howard lost 7-2 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) where Howard responded with a 5-2 win over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Howard earned 8.764 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -20.671 after improving upon their best so far this season.
