Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) lost 3-1 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in the Final of the Boost National, held December 10 - 15, 2019 in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland / Labrador. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 7-4 over Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2019 Boost National in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland / Labrador; and won 5-2 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Edin finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) 7-5, then won 7-4 against Yuta Matsumura (Kitami, JPN). Edin went on to lose 4-2 against Jacobs. Edin responded with a 6-1 win over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Boost National, Edin take home 66.580 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN prize, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 25.329 after improving upon their best so far this season. Edin ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 255.374 points earned so far this season.
