Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Nagano, JPN) won 6-0 over Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) in the Final of the Moosehead Fall Open, held September 26 - 29, 2019 at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Yamaguchi won 8-2 over Mark Homan (Gatineau, QC) in the semifinals of the 2019 Moosehead Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-3 over Jamie Birtwistle (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Moosehead Fall Open in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada;
 
Yamaguchi finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yamaguchi defeated Matt Dupuis (Ottawa, ON) 6-5, then won 6-2 against Cameron Goodkey (Ottawa, ON) and 6-3 against Martin Patry (Buckingham, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Moosehead Fall Open Championship title, Yamaguchi earned 21.969 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque. Yamaguchi move up 19 spots after posting a net gain of 11.193 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 69th overall with 56.175 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
