To advance to the championship game, Birt won 7-5 over Jill Brothers (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2019 Tim Hortons Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada; and won 5-4 over Nova Scotia's Tanya Hilliard in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Tim Hortons Spitfire Arms Cash Spiel in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada;
Birt finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Nova Scotia's Tanya Hilliard 6-2, then won 5-2 against Maggie Wilson (Stirling, SCO) and 6-4 against Nova Scotia's Amanda Power. Birt won 8-7 against Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
