Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO) run at the 2019 Red Deer Curling Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 3-1 loss to James Pahl (Edmonton, AB). of the 2019 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; Whyte advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-6 win over Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB).
 
Whyte finished 5-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Whyte defeated Simon Gempeler (Adelboden, SUI) 8-3, then won 7-1 against Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB). Whyte went on to lose 10-4 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB). Whyte lost 6-4 to Dominik Maerki (Chaska, MN) where Whyte responded with a 7-6 win over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Whyte won 5-2 against Shaun Meachem (Saskatoon, SK) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 7-2 against Steven Howard (Regina, SK) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
 
Whyte earned 22.026 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic, remaining in 29th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -0.16299999999998 after improving upon their best so far this season. Whyte ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 105.894 points earned so far this season.
