Skrlik finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skrlik defeated Lynn Lee (Medicine Hat, AB) 12-2, then won 8-5 against Lorraine Schneider (Regina, SK) and 7-5 against Sherry Just (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Skrlik earned 20.568 world rankings points along with the $3,800CDN first prize cheque.
