Wang finished 1-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wang lost 6-4 to Jodi Vaughan (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 6-2 win over Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB). Wang went on to lose 6-3 against Madison Bear (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
