Thompson responded with a 9-6 win over Russia's Diana Margarian. Thompson went on to lose 10-3 against Melissa Pierce (Edmonton, AB). Thompson responded with a 9-7 win over Morgayne Eby (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Thompson earned 12.579 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Kamloops Crown of Curling, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 98th place overall with 35.574 total points. Thompson ranks 61st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.222 points earned so far this season.
