To advance to the championship game, Japan's Kei Kamada won 6-4 over British Columbia's Erik Colwell in the semifinals of the 2019 Anita Cochrane Memorial Junior Men in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Japan's Kei Kamada finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Japan's Kei Kamada lost 1-0 to British Columbia's Hayato Sato, then responded with a 8-1 win over British Columbia's Kazune Eugene-Fei. Japan's Kei Kamada won 5-3 against British Columbia's Brayden Carpenter, then won 9-3 against British Columbia's Preston Ballard in their final qualifying round match.
