Dace Regza/Ansis Regza (Riga, LAT) finished 1-4 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Regza/Regza lost 9-3 to Eirin Mesloe/Willhelm Naess (Oslo, NOR), droppimg another game, 9-5 to Italy's Veronica Zappone/Simone Gonin. Regza/Regza lost 10-5 to Angela Romei/Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) where Regza/Regza responded with a 6-4 win over Manon Humbert/David Baumgartner (Megeve, FRA). Regza/Regza went on to lose 8-2 against Switzerland's Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin in their final qualifying round match.

Regza/Regza earned 2.038 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 0.502 after improving upon their best so far this season.
