To advance to the championship game, Cottenoir/Lanoue won 7-6 over Marie-Claude Comeau/Simon Hebert (Valleyfield, QC) in the semifinals of the 2020 GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles in Valleyfield, Quebec; and won 7-4 over Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (St. Marys, ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Cottenoir/Lanoue finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cottenoir/Lanoue defeated Brenda Nicholls/Dan deWaard (Quebec, QC) 10-2, then won 9-2 against Dany Roy/Bruno Sonier (Sherbrooke, QC) and 13-1 against Lisianne Ouellet/Guillaume Rousseau (Riviere-du-Loup, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GOLDLINE Valleyfield Mixed Doubles, Cottenoir/Lanoue take home 8.834 world rankings points along with the $180CDN prize. For week 25 of the event schedule, Cottenoir/Lanoue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
