To advance to the championship game, Bear/Stopera won 9-3 over Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) in the semifinals of the 2019 Southern Mixed Doubles in Charlote, North Carolina, United States; and won 8-2 over Lisa Hale/Ray Baker (Dauphin, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Southern Mixed Doubles in Charlote, North Carolina, United States;

Bear/Stopera finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bear/Stopera defeated Gina Swanner/Tom Rogers (Charlotte, NC) 13-1, then won 14-2 against Sylvia Jennings/David DeFehr (Charlotte, NC) and 7-5 against Kirstin McKeown/Gabriel Nickel (Blaine, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
