Muirhead won 9-4 against Irene Schori (Limmattal, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Mercure Perth Masters Championship title, Muirhead earned 36.058 world rankings points along with the $7,743CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 330.042 total points.
