In their opening game, Cyr lost 6-5 to Jason Roach (Saint John, NB), droppimg another game, 6-4 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) where Cyr responded with a 10-1 win over Kendal Thompson (Halifax, NS). Cyr went on to lose 6-3 against Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
