Scott Jones (Moncton, NB) lost 8-6 to James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) in the Final of the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held December 6 - 8, 2019 at the Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club in Saint John, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 7-3 over Jason Roach (Saint John, NB) in the semifinals of the 2019 Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 6-1 over Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS) in the quarterfinals.
 
Jones finished 2-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones lost 4-1 to Rene Comeau (Fredericton, NB), then responded with a 9-3 win over Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Jones went on to lose 7-6 against Jordan Chandler (Manitoulin, NONT). Jones responded with a 5-4 win over Dave Sullivan (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, Jones take home 14.669 world rankings points along with the $3,300CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 70th place overall with 75.525 total points. Jones ranks 62nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 56.260 points earned so far this season.
