Walker finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker defeated Abbey Kitchens (Devils Lake, ND) 10-1, then won 7-4 against Minnesota's Kim Rhyme and 8-2 against Jamie Sinclair (Charlotte, NC). Walker won 9-3 against Christine McMakin (Minneapolis, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Curl Mesabi Classic, Walker take home 23.907 world rankings points along with the $3,986CDN prize.
