To advance to the championship game, Heggestad won 4-1 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2019 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-3 over Bryan Cochrane (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;
 
Heggestad finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Dayna Deruelle (Harrison, ON) 8-7, then won 7-4 against Daryl Shane (Waterloo, ON). Heggestad went on to lose 8-4 against Matthew Kennerknecht (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the COMCO Cash Spiel, Heggestad take home 13.970 world rankings points along with the $1,900CDN prize, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 80th place overall with 59.741 total points. Heggestad ranks 97th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 23.392 points earned so far this season.
