Magnusson went on to lose 5-4 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

Magnusson earned 9.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Magnusson move up 11 spots after posting a net gain of 7.229 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 104th overall with 40.045 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Magnusson ranks 75th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.652 points earned so far this season.
