Ryo Ogihara (Karuizawa, JPN) won 6-3 over Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, held June 15 - 16, 2019 in Morioka, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Ogihara won 5-1 over Suguru Tsukamoto (Kanagawa, JPN) in the semifinals   of the 2019 Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup in Morioka, Japan; 
 
Ogihara finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogihara defeated Naomasa Takeda (Sapporo, JPN) 7-5, then won 8-2 against Kyosuke Sawaguchi (Morioka, JPN) and 6-2 against Tomoji Arai (Tokyo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup Championship title, Ogihara earned 10.595 world rankings points along with the $984CDN first prize cheque. Ogihara gained 15.756 points improving upon their best 2 events, though dropped 164 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 164thplace overall with 15.756 total points. Ogihara ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.595 points earned so far this season.
