In their opening game, Medford defeated Sangwoo Park (Korea, KOR) 7-3, then went on to lose 6-2 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS). Medford lost 5-3 to Jacob Libbus (Edmonton , AB) where Medford responded with a 8-7 win over Shingo Usui (Kitami, JPN). Medford went on to lose 7-2 against Kalem Hamilton (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
