Steve Emt (Norfolk, CT) finished 6-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Emt lost 9-0 to Benoit Lessard (Montreal, QC), then responded with a 8-7 win over Ken White (Sutton, MA). Emt went on to lose 8-7 against Jimmy Joseph (Utica, NY). Emt responded with a 9-1 win over Shawn Sadowski (Portage, WI). Emt won 14-2 against George Eldridge (Bridgeport, CT), then won 7-2 against Brad Carlson (Cape Cod, MA) and 11-0 against Jesi Strachem (Iron Station, NC). Emt won 9-1 against Bob Prenoveau (Utica, NY) in their final qualifying round match.
