Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE) finished 5-0 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paulova/Paul defeated Switzerland's Lea Hueppi/Jonas Weiss 8-7, then won 11-3 against Switzerland's Noelle Iseli/Rene Iseli and 6-5 against Germany's Pia-Lisa Schoell/Klaudius Harsch. Paulova/Paul won 8-4 against Slovakia's Daniela Matulova/Milan Morvcik, then won 7-3 against Jenny Perret/Martin Rios (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the International Mixed Doubles St. Gallen Championship title, Paulova/Paul earned 35.235 world rankings points along with the $2,671CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 29.708 after improving upon their best so far this season. Paulova/Paul ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 80.836 points earned so far this season.
