Hernandez Berenguer finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hernandez Berenguer defeated Xavier Campos (Puigcerda, ESP) 14-1, then won 9-7 against Maximo Calvo (Harrikada, ESP) and 9-3 against Raul Garcia G. (Pisuerga, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 10-6 against Garcia. Hernandez Berenguer responded with a 10-5 win over Ignacio Galdeano (Pisuerga, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 9-8 against Marti Alonso (Val d'Aran, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer responded with a 9-3 win over Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 8-2 against Vez. Hernandez Berenguer lost 4-2 to Angel Garcia A. (Madrid, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Spanish Mens National Championship, Hernandez Berenguer take home 11.208 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Hernandez Berenguer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
