Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 10-6 against Garcia. Hernandez Berenguer responded with a 10-5 win over Ignacio Galdeano (Pisuerga, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 9-8 against Marti Alonso (Val d'Aran, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer responded with a 9-3 win over Llorenc Aparicio (Barcelona, ESP). Hernandez Berenguer went on to lose 8-2 against Vez. Hernandez Berenguer lost 4-2 to Angel Garcia A. (Madrid, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Spanish Mens National Championship, Hernandez Berenguer take home 11.208 world rankings points.
