Mel Sittichinli (Inuvik, NT) finished 6-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sittichinli defeated Mark Robertson (Inuvik, NT) 9-3, then won 8-1 against Nick Saturnino (Inuvik, NT) and 11-0 against Larry Greenland (Inuvik, NT). Sittichinli won 8-5 against Greenland, then won 4-1 against Saturnino and 6-5 against Robertson in their final qualifying round match.
