Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) lost 7-3 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the Tim Hortons Brier, held February 29 - March 8, 2020 in Kingston, Ontario.
 
Bottcher finished 10-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT) 7-2, then won 9-4 against Jake Higgs (Iqaluit, NU) and 3-2 against Gushue. Bottcher won 7-6 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB), then won 6-2 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) and 7-3 against Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC). Bottcher won 9-6 against Bryan Cochrane (Cornwall, PEI), then won 9-5 against Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Bottcher went on to lose 5-4 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN). Bottcher responded with a 10-3 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Bottcher won 4-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier, Bottcher take home 63.014 world rankings points along with the $65,000CDN prize. Bottcher move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 50.006 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 347.979 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
