Emma Valachova/ Kolman (Bratislava, SVK) finished 1-4 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Valachova/Kolman lost 7-4 to Katarzyna Staszczak/Aleksander Grzelka (Krakow, POL), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Zuzanna Rybicka/Bartosz Dzikowski (Lodz, POL). Valachova/Kolman lost 9-1 to Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres/Gyorgy Nagy where Valachova/Kolman responded with a 6-5 win over Slovakia's Daniela Matulova/Milan Morvcik. Valachova/Kolman went on to lose 9-8 against Claudia Baumgartner/ Manon (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.
