Gedak finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak defeated Saskatchewan's Rylan Kleiter 8-4, then won 4-2 against Saskatchewan's Shawn Meyer and 10-0 against Saskatchewan's Jason Jacobson in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Moose Jaw Cash Spiel Championship title, Gedak earned 14.994 world rankings points along with the $1,905CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 69th place overall with 65.714 total points.
