To advance to the championship game, Hartung won 6-5 over Steven Howard (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2020 Saskatchewan Tour Championship in Swift Current, Saskatchewan; and won 7-5 over Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 Saskatchewan Tour Championship in Swift Current, Saskatchewan;
 
Hartung finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung defeated Sam Wills (Regina, SK) 6-1, then went on to lose 8-0 against Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Hartung responded with a 6-4 win over Saskatchewan's Jason Jacobson. Hartung won 6-5 against Gedak in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Saskatchewan Tour Championship Championship title, Hartung earned 19.938 world rankings points along with the $2,880CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 57th place overall with 88.988 total points. Hartung ranks 78th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.808 points earned so far this season.
