Coleman Thurston (Poynette, WI) lost 5-4 to Charlie Thompson (Lowell, MA) in the Final of the USA Youth Olympic Games Qualifier, held October 3 - 6, 2019 in Golden, Colorado. To advance to the championship game, Thurston won 5-3 over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) in the semifinals
 
Thurston finished 4-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thurston defeated Max Kassner (Glenview, IL) 14-1, then won 13-1 against Maxwell Salander (Mendotta, IL) and 8-5 against Connor Kauffman (Lynnwood, WA). Thurston won 7-5 against Allison Tan (Bellevue, WA). Thurston went on to lose 7-5 against Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
