Charlie Thompson (Lowell, MA) won 5-4 over Coleman Thurston (Poynette, WI) in the Final of the USA Youth Olympic Games Qualifier, held October 3 - 6, 2019 in Golden, Colorado. To advance to the championship game, Thompson won 9-7 over Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN) in the semifinals of the 2020 USA Youth Olympic Games Qualifier in Golden, Colorado;
 
Thompson finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Kyan Ponzio (Shoreview, MN) 6-4, then won 8-2 against Miranda Scheel (Fargo, ND) and 7-6 against Andie McDonald (Phoenix, AZ). Thompson went on to lose 6-3 against Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
