Kim finished 6-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated JaeBeom Lee (Seoul, KOR) 11-5, then won 13-2 against Jin-wook Lee (Busan, KOR) and 8-6 against Yeong Seok Jeong (Gyeonggido, KOR). Kim won 10-2 against Sangwoo Park (Uijeongbu, KOR), then won 14-5 against TaeWoong Shin (Incheon, KOR) and 8-6 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Korean National Championship Championship title, Kim earned 12.825 world rankings points.
