Kim finished 4-1 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated EunJin Shin (Jeonju, KOR) 12-1, then won 8-3 against YooBin Park (SeongHyun, KOR) and 8-3 against Eun-jin Oh (Jeonbuk, KOR). Kim won 7-6 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR). Kim went on to lose 7-5 against Gim in their final qualifying round match.
