Joel Retornaz (Pinerolo, ITA) won 5-2 over Germany's Sixten Totzek in the Final of the Moscow Classic, held February 4 - 7, 2020 in Moscow, RCF. To advance to the championship game, Retornaz won 8-5 over Alexey Timofeev (St. Petersburg, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2020 Moscow Classic in Moscow, RCF; and won 5-3 over Maksim Shibilkin (Moscow, RUS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 Moscow Classic in Moscow, RCF;

Retornaz finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Retornaz defeated Aleksandr Bystrov (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) 8-3, then won 7-2 against Kirill Surovov (Dmitrov, RUS) and 7-2 against Shibilkin in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Moscow Classic Championship title, Retornaz earned 10.860 world rankings points along with the $5,316CDN first prize cheque.
