Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL) finished 2-5 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Seiler lost 8-6 to Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE), droppimg another game, 11-2 to Spain's Sergio Vez. Seiler lost 8-5 to Jermu Pollanen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) where Seiler responded with a 10-9 win over Pavol Pitonak (Bratislava, SVK). Seiler went on to lose 8-7 against James Pougher (Deeside, WAL). Seiler responded with a 7-6 win over Otto Kalocsay (Budapest, HUN). Seiler went on to lose 6-3 against Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.

Seiler earned 2.672 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 287 spots the World Ranking Standings into 385th place overall with 2.672 total points. Seiler ranks 282nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.672 points earned so far this season.
