Roy finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roy defeated Pascal Michaud (Ottawa, ON) 7-2, then won 8-3 against Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC) and 8-3 against Balsdon in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Finale du Circuit Championship title, Roy earned 18.373 world rankings points along with the $3,300CDN first prize cheque.
