In their opening game, Hale defeated Terry Ursel (Arden, MB) 9-3 to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 8-3 against Janelle Vachon (Brandon, MB) to drop into a B-Qualifier game where they lost 14-0 to Ursel in their final qualifying round match.

Hale earned 0.169 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 198th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -0.35 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hale ranks 193rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.097 points earned so far this season.
