Tran/Sluchinski responded with a 7-5 win over Alberta's Tracy Zadderey/Dave Brand to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 7-5 against Darah Blandford/Matthew Blandford (Cold Lake, AB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Tran/Sluchinski earned 4.517 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Alberta Mixed Doubles Qualifier, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 4.518 after improving upon their best so far this season. Tran/Sluchinski ranks 195th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.518 points earned so far this season.
