Kakela won 10-4 against Maerki in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the USA Men's Challenge Round, Kakela take home 10.725 world rankings points, moving up 203 spots the World Ranking Standings into 201st place overall with 12.431 total points.
