Daniel Birchard (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-5 over Corey Chambers (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the KKP Classic, held January 3 - 5, 2020 at the Fort Rouge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Birchard won 6-4 over Dennis Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2020 KKP Classic in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Birchard finished 3-2 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birchard defeated JT Ryan (Winnipeg , MB) 8-2, then went on to lose 5-4 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB). Birchard lost 5-3 to Chambers where Birchard responded with a 6-5 win over Cale Dunbar (Brandon, MB). Birchard won 4-2 against Ty Dilello (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the KKP Classic Championship title, Birchard earned 22.367 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 37 spots the World Ranking Standings into 88th place overall with 53.664 total points. Birchard ranks 88th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.069 points earned so far this season.
