Marla Sherrer (Lacombe, AB) finished 3-0 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sherrer defeated Adele Kezama (Sherwood Park, AB) 9-3, then won 9-4 against Kellie Stiksma (Edmonton, AB) and 9-5 against Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Alberta Scotties Provincial Qualifier Championship title, Sherrer earned 16.568 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Sherrer did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Sherrer ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
