Mitchell finished 5-0 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mitchell defeated Mackenzie Glynn (St. John's, NL) 11-9, then won 11-5 against Wendy Dunne (St. John's, NL) and 8-7 against Heather Strong (St. John's, NL). Mitchell won 6-5 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Kelli Sharpe, then won 5-4 against Curtis in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Newfoundland & Labrador Scotties, Mitchell take home 3.300 world rankings points.
